handmade by us with wych elm burr from the english scottish borders

the cabinets are made from a long avenue of wych elm trees planted around 1780

all wood sourced is dated by counting the rings of each tree trunk

wych elm wood from such large old trees is extremely rare indeed and few remain anywhere in UK

the cabinets are traditionally constructed with mortice and tenon and dovetail jointing

drawer sides are in 12mm english oak and drawer bottoms in 9mm silver birch

all cabinets are finished in a superb and resilient sprayed fine lacquer finish

drawer knobs are available in either dark wood, or in sycamore inlaid with a laburnum centre button
